Playing sports is popular in Nordic countries and parents encourage children to play various sports. Especially, some of them are Nordic combined (a winter sport in which athletes compete in both cross-country skiing and ski jumping), Nordic walking( a form of exercise consisting of walking with poles similar to ski poles)., football, orienteering(one of the 2009 World Games sports which is a famous sport in Norway), and kubb. We will introduce the origin, the history, the development, and the current situation of these sports. In addition, the 2009 World Games this year is held in Kaohsiung, Taiwan.
